Trading Technologies Trades Up
Chicago-based Trading Technologies International (TT) has launched X_TRADER 7, the next generation of its X_TRADER trading platform. Built on an entirely new application program interface (API), version 7 incorporates a new messaging layer, new exchange gateways and a redesigned risk administration product called X_RISK 7, TT says.
According to the vendor, the X_TRADER 7 platform is faster than the previous version, and offers additional exchange connections and increased functionality to optimize trading performance, such as new asset classes, synthetic order-type support and an "autospreader" feature, which allows traders to freeze and unfreeze working orders, adjust pay-up ticks on the fly, create ratio spreads, and display their spread prices in fractions. X_TRADER 7 now also maintains overnight trader positions automatically.
"Based on the positive feedback we have received from our beta testers, we anticipate many X_TRADER users will upgrade quickly to version 7 in order to take advantage of improved performance, added features and new exchange connections," said Diane Saucier, senior product manager for X_TRADER at TT, in a release.
