Netik Appoints John Mason to COO Role

Netik LLC announced the appointment of John Mason to the role of chief operating officer (COO), a leading global provider of financial data management and reporting services and products announced today.

Mason, who comes to Netik from Smartstream, will report directly to Rob Flatley, CEO and president of Netik LLC, and will sit on Netik’s executive management team.

Mason will assume responsibility for the direct management of the company’s day-to-day global operations, as well as the strategic and operational leaderships of Netik’s sales department. His focus will be on expanding Netik’s drive into its key areas of delta one trading data, managed reference data services and data warehousing. As part of the role, Mason is taking responsibility for the company’s employees and clients across Netik’s centers in Asia, Europe, Middle East, South Africa and North America.

“The addition of Mason to Netik’s executive team demonstrates how serious Netik is in attracting high quality, experienced staff as it continues to expand. I know he will apply his distinct set of skills and significant experience in financial services to focus and drive the company’s performance forward,” stated Netik’s CEO Rob Flatley, in the release.

Previously, Mason was CEO of DClear Utilities and Smartstream, responsible for running the division’s drive toward utility-based industry solutions. He was previously UU managing director overseeing sales and services fro Smartstream’s range of financial solutions. Prior to joining Smartstream, he worked for Capco Reference Data Services (CRDS) as managing director responsible fro the EMEA regional providing managed services and utility based offering to the financial services industry. Earlier on, h held senior management positions with software companies, such as BCS Plc, Aleri and Golden Source (formerly FTI).
