MLK Embeds Risk Analytics from Portfolio Science
MLK Fund Solutions, an aggregation and reporting software provider for hedge funds, teamed up with PortfolioScience, an on-demand risk management system for hedge funds and hedge fund service providers. MLK said it has integrated Portfolio Science’s RiskAPI platform into the MLK Data Warehouse solution, enabling hedge funds to access a full suite of multi-asset risk analysis capabilities, embedded within its data warehouse.
The collaboration with PortfolioScience will allow clients of MLK to generate highly customizable customizable and fully integrated suite of risk calculations such as: multi-model Value-at-Risk (VaR); multi-dimensional stress testing; exposure analysis; and option analytics. All calculations are available across funds, portfolios, sub-portfolios, and individual positions, according to the release.
Commenting on the announcement Fadi Kaddoura, MIK’s founder and President: “Our value to funds is tying the data resident in the firm to the investment thesis. Risk measures and analysis forms a critical component to daily operations and overall portfolio management. Through our collaboration with PortfolioScience fund managers have yet another critical tool available to them for a comprehensive view of their situation – with a corresponding ability to make better decisions.”

Combining our risk analytics with MIK’s intuitive approach, based on a robust data set, helps funds in the performance equation.
