CQG Adds Nasdaq OMX Nordic Market Data

Customers can access real-time and historical market data for Nasdaq OMX Nordic derivatives, and trading access is slated for later this year.

CQG Inc., an order execution, charting and analytics provider for globally electronically traded futures markets, is expanding its offering by adding market data for Nasdaq OMX Nordic derivatives.

Denver, Colo.-based CQG’s new market coverage includes futures, options and cash quotes on the OMX Stockholm 30 Index, OMX Copenhagen 20 Index, OMX Stockholm Benchmark GI and VINX 30 Index. Customers can access real-time and historical Nordic data on the CQG Integrated Client platforms. Trading access to Nasdaq OMX Nordic derivatives is slated for later this year.

“The Nordic Derivatives Market is the third largest marketplace for derivatives by volume in Europe, and CQG is pleased to be able to provide our customers access to this market data,” sated Rod Giffen, global head of sales ands support at CQG in the release. “Nasdaq OMX Nordic derivatives data is an important addition to our global data feed,” added Giffen in the company’s release.

CQG’s Nordic market coverage now includes the regional index products as well as both market data and trading access to the Nord Pool power market. CQG’s high-speed market data feed delivers real-time and historical data from one hundred sources.

In a statement, Randall Hopkins, SVP, Nasdaq OMX global data products, praised CQG for adding Nasdaq OMX Nordic derivatives to its platform. “This action indicates CQG is responsive to customer demand for greater market transparency. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with CQG as it offers trading access to Nasdaq OMX Nordic Derivatives later this year,” stated Hopkins.
