Coral8 Rolls Out Coral8 Engine Release 5.6

New release features increased performance, open integration with third party client tools and an enhanced Microsoft .Net SDK

Coral8, Inc., a provider of complex event processing (CEP) software and continuous intelligence solutions, is rolling out the Coral8 Engine Release 5.6, which offers easier integration with client tools, improved performance and enhanced developer productivity.

With this new release, customers can access Coral8 managed data through the many available third party client tools which support Windows ODBC, and more easily integrate with Microsoft .Net applications via a richer Microsoft .Net SDK.

"Our customers expect a seamless solution for rapid implementation and low administration costs," said Chad Sallee, director of development and technology at Patient Care Technology Systems, in a press release. Patient Care Technology Systems is a provider of workflow visibility and automation solutions for health care providers which incorporate the Coral8 Engine. "Coral8's tight integration with Microsoft technologies such as .Net, SQL Server and ODBC makes it easier for us to build CEP into our applications and deliver rich, advanced patient care solutions to healthcare organizations," Sallee added.

A major component of Coral8's Continuous Intelligence solution strategy is easy integration with existing business intelligence and analytic tools, allowing customers to maximize their investment in these platforms. Coral8 Engine Release 5.6 offers a new Windows client ODBC driver that allows client tools supporting this industry standard to query data managed by Coral8 applications and servers. Building on strong market adoption into Microsoft development organizations among end-users and ISVs, Coral8 has enhanced its Microsoft .Net SDK in Coral8 Engine Release 5.6. The Coral8 .Net SDK now supports the simplified style and approach of .Net 3.5, and offers improved performance. Coral8 will continue to support existing applications developed with the previous version of the .Net SDK.

Also included in Release 3.5 are enhancements to the Coral8 Engine optimizer and underlying execution engine to provide significant performance improvements. Customer applications could see up to twice the performance versus previous releases, and up to 50 percent reduction in memory utilization.
