Hedge Fund Black Diamond Capital Appoints New Managing Director

Black Diamond Capital Management, a hedge fund with more than $11 billion under management, said it appointed Jean Fleischhacker senior managing director of business development, where she'll lead the structuring and marketing for collateralized loan obligations and other structured products.

The Greenwich, Connecticut-based firm added that Fleischhacker will also head the development of new products and play a key role in strategic development and growth initiatives. Fleischhacker previously served as managing director at Babson Capital, where she headed its global distribution segment.

"Her experience and counsel leading CLO issuance and other new product development will be invaluable to clients and Black Diamond," Stephen Deckoff, the asset manager's managing principal said in a release.
