UBS has implemented Vignette's Web content management software to build its myUBS personalized customer information portal and company intranet. UBS utilized the Vignette software to integrate its back-office systems and to modify and increase the size of its Web offering to accommodate the increasing traffic to the site. UBS also launched its Web Information Platform (WIP) intranet. Previously a number of intranets had been running on a variety of publishing platforms at UBS, which have now been consolidated with the Vignette software.
The Deutsche Borse is introducing a comparative analysis tool for investors to measure trading strategies against the market as a whole. Based on the StatistiX data warehouse, the product bundles trading information from a variety of exchange-trading marketplace and systems and consolidates them into a central database. The first application based on the service is the StatistiX Info Cube Ranking, an interactive database solution for the analysis of securities trading flows. The application includes all trading volumes for a given market participant and the trading volumes of all market participants down to the individual securities level. The Web-based serviced will be launched Monday, September 16th.
JCV Investment Systems has launched its Triarch Pricing Engine to retrieve snap quotes of fields of instruments specified in an input file. The engine can also retrieve quotes from any field-based source on the customer's Triarch infrastructure, as well as Reuters Chain-based records. The Triarch Pricing Engine calls data directly from the SSL at over 1,000 instruments per minute and flags invalid/irretrievable codes.
This past week InterSystems Corporation and Agility Investment Technologies teamed up with the J.P. Morgan Chase Career Center to provide free career assistance to financial-services industry IT workers in New York who were displaced by the Sept 11 attacks. The J.P. Morgan Chase Career Center hosted the free five-day training course on InterSystems' Cache high-performance database to help workers develop new programming skills. The Cache database management system is used in financial services firms such as Ameritrade, J.P. Morgan Chase and Forum Solutions.
