Tullett Prebon Promotes Del Vecchio to CIO

Interdealer broker Tullett Prebon (London) promoted John Del Vecchio from CTO of the firm's North American division to CIO. "[Previously], my focus was primarily on making sure North America ran flawlessly on a day-to-day basis. ... Now I need to do the same thing on a global basis," he says of his new responsibilities.

Del Vecchio, who has spent 31 years in the technology industry, will be based in New York and report to CEO Lou Scotto. Among his accomplishments, Del Vecchio has been responsible for market data, voice and trading systems for JPMorgan and Merrill Lynch. But it is his more-recent accomplishments to which Del Vecchio attributes his promotion. "We've had quite a bit of success in the time that I've been here," he says.
