Stratacache Scales Data Delivery
Stratacache (Dayton, Ohio) launched version 3.0 of its OmniCast platform, which distributes data, software and video files simultaneously to branch-level facilities, says the company. The solution is intended for compliance initiatives, security patch distribution, brand consistency, in-store video signage and distance learning programs.
According to Stratacache, version 3.0 provides greater security, capacity and scalability, enabling OmniCast to distribute files of up to 30 gigabytes to as many as 100,000 endpoints from a single Windows server. The platform utilizes a proprietary Internet communication protocol to boost data transfer efficiency.
"With OmniCast, [our customers] can leverage their existing IT fabric to enable effective global data synchronization and higher performance for all key applications," said Chris Riegel, CEO of Stratacache, in a release.
