Pragma Launches Adaptive Overlays for Algos

Pragma Securities has released its Adaptive Overlays suite of controls for enhanced customization and control over trading algorithmic strategies in various market conditions.

The Adaptive Overlay suite offers a series of options and parameters around trading strategies without custom development or manual intervention.

In a statement, Doug Rivelli, CEO of Pragma Securities, said, “When it comes to algorithmic trading, the two most important factors to maximize trading effectiveness remain control and speed of execution. In consultation with our customers, we’ve developed a suite of Adaptive Overlay strategies so market participants can gain near total control over just how their orders operate within the marketplace.”

He added, “Conditions can shift quickly in today’s market and missed seconds can mean missed opportunities, so it’s absolutely imperative traders have the ability to quickly adapt their strategies without the hassle of manual intervention or any other delays typically found in other algorithms.”

Adaptive Overlays can be configured directly through any standard OMS or EMS front end and are automatically triggered by specific market conditions to implement controls including speed up/slow down; would if I could; crossing, min/max % of volume and cash balanced.
