ITG Hires Duncan Higgins, Fomerly at Turquoise

Higgins joins ITG as a director within the electronic sales group in Europe.

Agency broker and financial technology firm Investment Technology Group (ITG) appointed Duncan Higgins as director within the electronic sales group in Europe.

Higgins joined on Jan. 4th reporting to Robert Boardman, ITG’s head of electronic trading. Higgins, 36, previously worked at Turquoise the multi-lateral trading facility (MTF) where he was head of client relationship management. The London Stock Exchange is acquiring Turquoise. Prior to his role at Turquoise, Higgins spent almost 10 years at UBS.

“I am very pleased that Duncan is on board to help us drive the business forward,” commented Boardman in the release. Citing demand for electronic execution, intelligent execution tools, as well as ITG’s algorithms and client service, Boardman stated: “This a very exciting time for ITG. “Duncan brings with him considerable industry experience,” further stated Boardman in ITG’s announcement.
