Investorforce Offers Institutional Communications Facility on the Web
Pennsylvania-based Inves-torForce.com, has un-leashed a new Communication Center on its Web site www.investorforce.com. This free service will help institutional investors and consultants organize and archive the multitude of electronic communications they receive daily.
Skip Corkran, director of product development, ex-plains that the communications center provides money managers with a secure, central location for all electronic communications, facsimiles, e-mails and attachments. All documents, which are maintained on InvestorForce's online servers, have fully searchable content and can be sorted according to the users needs. In addition, attachments can be searched, and a user can view any attachment file even without its native application program installed on his or her computer.
According to Anthony Ruggeri, director of site architecture, the communications center was designed and created in-house, but was also developed through the use of partnerships with technology vendors. For one, InvestorForce.com purchased a search engine product from Verity, Inc. It also partnered with United Messaging Inc., which provides e-mail messaging, and lastly it struck a deal with j2 Global Communications (formerly JFAX.COM), which provides its facsimile to e-mail conversion technologies.
