Gary Ardell Appointed CIO of ConvergEx Group

Ardell will take on CIO responsibilities in addition to his role as head of business strategy development and head of the financial engineering and advanced trading solutions unit.

ConvergEx Group, a provider of global brokerage and trading related services, announced Gary Ardell will take on the role of chief information officer and in doing so he will also join the executive committee. He will take on the CIO responsibilities in addition to his previous position as head of business strategy development, and head of the financial engineering and advanced trading solutions.

The New York based firm serves its products and strategies to more than 3,000 institutional investor and financial intermediary clients over 100 global markets.

Ardell's new CIO responsibilities, according to the press release include "technical infrastructure, software development and business processes of ConvergEx Group." He will also be responsible for "directing company resources in support of accelerating new product development and innovation."
