Credit Suisse Appoints New Liquidity Head
Dmitri Galiametdinov has joined Credit Suisse's Advanced Execution Services group as Director and Head of Liquidity Strategy.Galiametdinov will work to establish new relationships with liquidity sources, including ATS', ECNs and other broker dealers. He will also focus on enhancing AES' routing strategies around liquidity, fill rates and price improvements in its algorithms in order to provide a better client experience.
"Today's electronic trading world is changing so quickly, it's important that we keep abreast of changes and make sure we are ahead of the curve in providing the best liquidity experience possible," he adds. "There are so many choices now in terms of dark liquidity pools, ATS' and broker/dealers, we're focused on how to best utilize these options to provide liquidity to our clients."
Galiametdinov says one major key to this strategy is driving more volume into AES with new and enhanced product offerings. "We are also working to build out CrossFinder, our crossing engine, with new functionality and increased capacity," he explains.
While initially his focus will solely be in North America, Galiametdinov says ultimately that will expand into other geographies. "We already are moving in that direction," he says, adding that Credit Suisse is actively crossing in Europe and Asia. "We are driven by what our clients want and as client demand increases we will be ready."
Galiametdinov was previously an executive at Direct Edge ECN.
