Calling All Buy-Side Elite
As I write this column, I'm going through my source lists, pulling together the best and the brightest names in the industry to invite to speak at our first-ever Buy-Side Trading Summit. Leveraging Wall Street & Technology's 20-plus years covering trading and technology issues, combined with the help of Advanced Trading's Reader Advisory Board, we're building an event that will cater to the buy side's needs like no other event in the industry. And I hope that you'll be part of it.
As many of you know, we launched our magazine a little more than a year ago and have gained tremendous momentum. The positive feedback from the buy-side community has been overwhelming. Because of AT's positioning - writing specifically for and about the buy side's core issues - we've been able to build a strong community among buy-side traders. And we plan to bring an exclusive portion of that community to the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island on Sept. 10-12 to discuss some of the same poignant issues that we cover in each issue of Advanced Trading.
This event will not be like the many one-off events on algorithmic trading you see every other week in New York. Our content reflects our years of experience in understanding the complex issues in the marketplace. Through a mix of roundtable discussions, general sessions and workshops, we've created a content-rich agenda that will leave attendees fully informed and enlightened about trading and technology trends and issues. From topics that include compliance, hybrid markets, exchange consolidation, data and infrastructure challenges, hiring the best and brightest, international trading, and TCA and other metrics, the goal is to discuss issues that are critical to the work you do every day, and to help you enhance your careers today and in the future.
Accomplishing this requires the right mix of speakers and attendees. Through the relationships we've developed over our long history, we're assembling an elite roster of speakers. And, unique to our event, attendance is open only to the buy side - head traders, traders and CIOs, specifically. That's because we understand the importance of sharing ideas and working through issues with your counterparts at other buy-side firms.
This valuable event already has gained tremendous momentum - don't miss the opportunity to be a part of it. For more information or to register, visit www.advancedtrading.com. I look forward to seeing you there.
