Brazilian Market Maker Chooses Orc
Sao Paulo-based market maker Marcelo Sacomori is using Orc Market Maker for advanced options trading and market making strategies on the Brazilian BM&FBovespa exchange, according to Orc Group, the technology provider in the company’s release.
Marcelo Sacomori is using Orc Market Maker, a server-based trading solution designed for options trading and quoting, to quote options on futures on the region’s largest exchange, BM&FBovespa, the company said. Orc’s software leverages Orc’s 20 years of experience in building and deploying high-performance options quoting solutions, the global technology provider to hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, investment banks, brokerage firms and market makers, said.
In the release, Sacomori commented, “Orc Market Maker has been a very good fit for my trading. I needed a solution that was fast, easy to use, and painless to deploy. Orc fit these needs perfectly with a very fast and reliable trading platform that will help increase my business in this market.”

Orc also provides pre-defined and configurable volatility models, as well as built-in pricing models for accurate quoting and hedging.
