Former Prudential CIO Lands at Exigen

Bella Loykhter, former CIO of Prudential Securities, joined business process outsourcer Exigen. Her role will be to build the company's capital markets practice. Exigen has also hired an ex-CIO from MetLife to run the insurance practice and an ex-CIO from Fleet to run the banking portion of the business, Loykhter says.

Loykhter will first focus on building a business around helping brokerage firms develop broker workstations by restructuring processes. She notes that though the brokerage business has shifted from transactional to fee-based, firms have not yet addressed the systems from that standpoint.

At Prudential, Loykhter focused on the firm's financial advisory systems, which she says were highly regarded. She also notes that Prudential closely coupled business with technology, a practice she plans to share with new clients. "I had my people living in the business area so they could develop deep business knowledge," she says.
