Spotfire Releases DXP for Enterprise Analytics, Features Pre-configured Guided Analytics for Financial Professionals

Analytics developer Spotfire (Somerville, Mass.) unveiled a new enterprise analytics application, Spotfire DXP, that allows users to author their own guided analytic applications in context of the business process they serve, the company says. This allows users to walk colleagues through their views of the information being examined -- sharing the steps followed to derive insight in the language of their functional discipline, claims Spotfire. Spotfire also offers preconfigured guided analytics solutions for selected processes, including sales, marketing and portfolio analytics.

"Spotfire DXP provides a full range of industry professionals -- including investment managers, bankers, traders and compliance managers -- a new way to visually interact with their data," said Christopher Ahlberg, CEO of Spotfire, in an e-mail statement. "By allowing business users to ask and answer questions of their data on the fly, hidden information, trends and outliers are instantly revealed in an ad hoc fashion. Equally important, DXP's Guided Analytics solution provides a way to easily share best practices for attaining these insights, giving financial firms the ability to compete on analytics throughout the enterprise."
