O'Neill Named VP at Xcitek

Michael O'Neill joins XcitekConsultingServices as vice president. He will be responsible for the recruitment and placement of securities operations professionals within financial institutions on a consulting basis. "Mike brings a two-prong quality to the position: He understands the client side of the business, and he also understands what back-office processing needs to get the job done," says Al Hutwagner, managing partner, Xcitek.

O'Neill's resume includes a 15-year tenure at the Depository Trust and Clearing Corp. (DTCC), where he was involved in various aspects of securities processing. In his last position, senior relationship manager of DTCC's large account program, he was responsible for resolving daily operational service issues covering all aspects of securities processing for the organization's top 50 accounts. "Firms were calling me all day long with concerns that they wanted me to address within operations at DTCC. At Xcitek, I'm on the totally opposite end of the spectrum," O'Neill says.
