Netik Launches vMobile for Data Management

Emphasizing security and entitlement, vMobile positions Netik to extend the reach of its data management solutions to iPads, Androids and Blackberry Playbook devices.

Global data management provider Netik LLC said it has launched its vMobile techology for Apple iPad, Android including Samsung Galaxy and Blackberry Playbook devices with an emphasis on security.

vMobile extends Netik’s data management and client reporting platform which is a leading solution for data creation, aggregation, management, distribution and secure information delivery, used in the front, middle and back offices of some of the world’s largest financial institutions. The solution’s security and entitlement architecture is being targeted at asset management and asset servicing firms, such as fund administrators, custodians and the like, looking to leverage mobile across their business, said the company.

vMobile is also suitable for non-clients that want to use it as a standalone solution and integrated with existing systems, according to a spokesman for Netik.

Using HTML5 technology, vMobile integrates easily with existing data management and client communications systems, enabling users to extend their current web, print and data delivery to mobile platforms. HTML5 enables vMobile to dynamically generate rich mobile content from user defined views, reports and dashboards. This produces a seamless user experience across desktop, tablet and all mobile operating systems.

Alongside vMobile, Netik has also launched its vMobile|Hub service, offering clients that are new to mobile a rapidly deployed service to customize their content and applications for mobile delivery in only a few weeks, said the company.

Commenting on the mobile technology offerings, Robert Miller, CTO Netik, said: “The vMobile innovation puts business users in the driver seat enabling them to dynamically create and entitle rich mobile applications to serve clients, executives and operations teams. HTML5 represents the next generation of web and mobile technologies and, unlike traditional iOS, Android or Blackberry apps, is easily synchronized with current information security web policy.“

In the same release, John Mason, COO Netik, stated: “With this release we again deliver on our “aggregate once; publish many ways” philosophy that helps our customers deliver more information, more frequently and in a form that their clients and employees need to manage their business decisions. Mobile is an increasingly important channel for our clients and this is a natural extension of how Netik helps clients manage a single strategy to aggregate and validate data. Central to all this is the ability use the resulting content across secure web sites, rich print content, automated data delivery solutions and, now, leading mobile applications.” Ivy is Editor-at-Large for Advanced Trading and Wall Street & Technology.
