Rosenblatt Securities Taps Jay Indovino
Jay Indovino has joined Rosenblatt Securities as a managing director. Earlier in his career, Indovino served as president of SunGard Institutional Brokerage and head of Bridge Information Systems' institutional brokerage unit. In his new position, Indovino will focus on helping Rosenblatt grow its client base, as well as tapping into business development opportunities and connecting the firm with new technology platforms.
"If you think of the decentralization of liquidity pools, ECNs and changes in market structure, Rosenblatt offers real expertise in trying to navigate these markets," Indovino says, adding that he was struck by Rosenblatt's good performance during recent market volatility when the firm gained market share. Generally, "Expertise is translated into great execution. ... During the recent market volatility, Rosenblatt's trading expertise was clear in terms of what orders should trade in which venues. When the market is not volatile, it becomes less important, but in times like we've experienced, execution quality and liquidity are of extreme importance," Indovino continues.
"Rosenblatt's story is a very good one, but it isn't being told enough," Indovino adds. "I'll be telling [it to] hedge funds and institutional clients, both traditional asset managers and quantitative asset managers."
