PeopleSoft has released version 8.8 of its Enterprise Performance Management solution with new capabilities to address proposed Basel II recommendations. The latest version of EPM will enable banks to measure the full spectrum of risk types, including credit and operational. The solution features a Risk-Weighted Capital application with complex risk-capital calculations and new Basel II algorithms and data structures to capture the granularity of historical loss events. PeopleSoft EPM version 8.8 is built upon PeopleSoft's banking-specific data model and will be available in the first quarter of next year.
Lombard Risk Systems has released its FirmRisk Collateral application. The Web-based collateral management solution manages all major methodologies for supporting collateral management arrangements within the OTC derivatives markets. The FirmRisk application can share a platform with Lombard's Firmament product suite for collateral management to be run alongside netting, trading and risk reporting.
QSR Management, a subsidiary of the Bank of New York, has licensed Principia Parnters' Principia System. The system will be used for portfolio and risk management of QSR's structured investment vehicle assets, liabilities and hedge derivatives.
SunGard Securities Processing has launched its Margin Advisor software for real-time information on equities, fixed income and listed derivatives. Margin Advisor analyzes margin-account status and generates alerts and events to automate resolution processing and enable users to handle same-day position and market changes. The solution also supports margin rules from all major exchanges and monitors margin activity and position price changes in real-time. Margin Advisor is scheduled for release in December and will run on Sun's Sun One platform.
