SurfControl has launched version 4.5 of its SurfControl E-mail Filter with anti-virus, anti-spam and e-mail auditing features. SurfControl's has licensed McAfee's SDK for the new Anti-Virus Agent add-on component to the e-mail filter. The Anti-Virus Agent offers virus cleaning, scanning, blocking and automatic virus updates. The Anti-Spam Agent within E-mail Filter 4.5 features digital filtering to manage spam by text and multiple file types such as JPEGs and MPEGs.
Fulcrum Global Partners, a full-service securities-brokerage firm, will implement FaceTime's IM Auditor for instant messaging compliance for its institutional traders. The FaceTime IM Auditor product is network independent and is installed behind corporate firewalls. The product enables users to control, manage, audit and report on instant-messaging traffic within the enterprise.
Kiodex has released an enhanced version of its Kiodex Risk Workbench platform. Enhancements include back-office functionality to handle transaction management tasks from front to back office; counter party-credit exposure to view by counter party, commodity, trade, book and portfolio; basis reporting for customers to generate a breakdown by maturity of deltas, notionals and basis prices for each commodity in a portfolio or book; trade P&L reporting to break down the P&L from inception of each trade to Mark-to-Market change, Unrealized and Realized P&L as well as Settled Not Paid and Settled and Paid categories; external Web services interface to enable integration of Kiodex Risk Workbench trade loading, downloading and amending into existing risk-management systems.
Richard Leite has been named co-director for the Professional Risk Managers International Association New York chapter. Leite will work closely with Regional Director Philip Merrill and the members of the New York Steering Committee to facilitate standards setting and the exchange of risk-management ideas. Leite is a vice president at Credit Suisse Asset Management.
OpVantage, a division of Fitch Risk Management, has released version 4.2 of its OpVar software suite for operational-risk management. The new version features a browser-based data collection module that has been integrated into OpVar for the collection of operational risk data throughout an organization. New modeling and reporting functionality has also been added in addition to support for multiple databases, the ability to add an unlimited number of user-defined txt fields or hierarchies for enhanced analysis and reporting of loss events and flexible user preferences.
