Omniva Policy Systems, a provider of e-mail policy solutions, has released its Omniva Policy Manager Enterprise Edition for secure e-mail. The product allows companies such as financial-services firms to exchange and secure confidential e-mails. Omniva works within Microsoft Outlook's e-mail interface, with e-mail policies adopted automatically. E-mail messages can be sent as 'company confidential' and can then not be read outside of the company or messages can be sent as 'do not forward' and they will not be readable by anyone except the original recipients. Omniva users can also block the ability to copy and paste as well as print messages.
FaceTime Communications, a provider of instant messaging applications, and KVS, a provider of content archiving and management solutions, have formed a strategic partnership to deliver compliance solutions for instant message communication. As part of the agreement FaceTime's IM Auditor will be integrated with KVS' Enterprise Vault Archive for use with Microsoft Exchange 200 IM and MSN .NET Messenger platforms. The combined solution is aimed at brokerage firms and other financial-services institutions to manage, monitor and archive instant messages to comply with SEC and NASD regulations.
SunGard plans to launch its new Collateral Reconciliation tool at Sibos this fall. Powered by intelliMATCH, SunGard's reconciliation solution, the new Collateral Reconciliation application automates the reconciliation of derivatives portfolios on a scheduled or ad-hoc basis. The application automatically identifies position and valuation discrepancies between portfolios held by various counter parties to ensure that the appropriate levels of collateralization are maintained.
