* SunGard Trading partners with Alpha Strategies to develope multi-factor portfolio-risk analysis for its Panorama solution. * Kamakura releases Version 4.0 of its KRM risk management solution. * The Professional Risk Managers' International Association forms a new regional chapter in Brazil.

SunGard Trading has partnered with Alpha Strategies to help with the development of multi-factor portfolio-risk analysis for its Panorama solution. The enhancements will include both risk decomposition and risk attribution for firm-wide risk management cross all types of institutional portfolios. Alpha Strategies will create custom multi-factor models for Panorama clients according to their investment styles.

Kamakura has released Version 4.0 of its KRM risk management solution. The enhancements to the latest version include the integration of credit scoring capabilities enabling managers to estimate default probabilities for individual retail and small business clients with customized sets of explanatory factors such as market and economic variables. KRM Version 4.0 also includes expanded default probability estimation techniques and fully integrated credit derivatives valuation and pricing as well as default simulation for individual counter parties to KRM's asset and liability management and net income simulation capabilities.

The Professional Risk Managers' International Association has formed a new regional chapter in Brazil. Alberto Suen has been named it inaugural Regional Director. Suen is a managing director at Ascent Financial Technologies in Sao Paolo. PRMIA now has local chapters in 33 areas around the world.
