Morgan Stanley Releases Android App

The Android app for institutional investors is the first for its kind for a Wall Street firm.

Morgan Stanley has launched an application on Google's Android allowing institutional investors to access its research on fixed income markets, stocks, currencies and economics.

The Wall Street firm is the first to release a research app for the Android. Its release comes on the heels of Morgan Stanley's launch of the iPhone and iPad research app. [check out our demo of the iPad app here ]

Morgan Stanley produces 125 to 150 documents a day that institutional clients have access to. The firm's app enables investors to learn more about a company, read a report, learn about the analyst that produced the research, and even communicate directly with the analyst. Clients can also access Morgan Stanley's Risk Reward Chart, which helps clients understand bull and bear and base case scenarios. For the 2600 stocks it covers, the firm also highlights the logic behind each scenario as well giving a summary of its investment thesis and any investment risks.
