Clooney to Tackle Wall Street Bailouts in New Film
George Clooney's history with drugs and women will prevent him from ever running for office, but his past won't stop him from trying to influence public thought through film.
From his efforts in Darfur, to his performance in the gripping - and depressing - Syriana, Clooney has never shied away from tackling politically-tinged ventures. Now the actor is setting his sights on one of the most shameful chapters in Wall Street's long history: the government bailouts of 2008.
According to a Variety report , Clooney is on board to produce – and possibly direct – a film based on the 2009 Washington Post article "The $700 Billion Man."
