Reuters Launches New Enterprise Data Management Solution Offering Full Automation
Reuters has built upon its existing data management platforms to create a complete enterprise data management (EDM) solution. According to Reuters, the platform provides full automation for the sourcing, cleansing, aggregation and distribution of data, allowing clients to improve the management of trading and operational risk, and improve efficiency while reducing infrastructure complexity.
The EDM solution consists of three core components: the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS), which aggregates real-time market data and has more than 600 partner applications with interfacing capabilities; the Reuters Reference Data System (RRDS), which facilitates the creation of fully verified reference data; and the Reuters Enterprise Integration Engine (REIE), which distributes consistent market and reference data (from RMDS/RRDS or client-owned data sources) to users and applications, enabling the automation of data flow and business processes. All three components are accessed via a single platform, the Reuters Enterprise Platform.
