Partnership Offers Grid Solution
ClearCube Technology (Austin, Texas) and DataSynapse (New York) have partnered to offer a combination hardware and software platform for grid computing. ClearCube will pair its PC Blade computing solution and management software with DataSynapse's GridServer software.
PC Blade centralizes individual PC use in a blade format, affording IT departments greater management capabilities over secured, high-availability and flexible end-user computing in an enterprise, says ClearCube. And DataSynapse's GridServer software virtualizes and distributes application services, and executes them based on user/application demand and system resource supply, according to DataSynapse, providing an on-demand computing environment that optimizes an enterprise's computing resources to improve application performance, resiliency and resource allocation.
The combination of these solutions is targeted as a platform for performing real-time analysis, including portfolio management, risk analysis and insurance actuarial modes, the companies say.
