Citi Hires Chief Software Architect
Jeremy Lehman, formerly head of technology for the investment management group at Thomson, joined Citigroup as chief software architect for global equity technology. Lehman's goal is to transform the equities platform across cash, algorithmic/program trading, proprietary, derivatives and prime brokerage, he says, adding that he plans to build a "team of truly world-class professionals," to assist him.
Citigroup has formed the Architecture and Strategic Platform Team to develop a fast, resilient and scalable equities platform, and build strategically critical components. The platform's scope covers cash, programs, derivatives including options market making, and prime brokerage.
"Jeremy is leading a team charged with transforming our equity trading platform for speed, volume and business responsiveness," according to Cyndy Yap, global head of equities technology at Citigroup. "Citigroup has historically differentiated itself through technology - we're building on that heritage to bring better results for our customers through technology."
