Options IT Expands its Options PIPE Platform to Interxion's London Collocation Financial Hub
Options IT, a provider of high-performance outsourced infrastructure technology, has expanded its global Options PIPE platform to Interxion's City of London Financial Hub. Interxion is a European operator of carrier-neutral data centers.
Through the agreement, Options IT has connected via dark fiber to Interxion's Financial Hub from its data centre in Northwest London and now provides its suite of services - including redundant front-, middle- and back-office technology infrastructure and managed hosting, low latency market data, and connectivity - to the community of high-frequency traders and brokers currently residing in Interxion's Financial Hub, according to Options IT.
The Financial Hub is a secure physical space within Interxion's data centre that is located in the City of London, enabling the financial community to connect with low latency. The Options PIPE platform provides hedge funds, proprietary trading shops, private equity firms, investment banks and brokerages with a technology infrastructure delivered with the efficiencies of a hosted service, according to a press release from Options IT.
"Providing the closest proximity and lowest-latency access to the markets in which our clients execute their trading strategies is a primary focus and competitive differentiator for our Options PIPE services," said Nigel Kneafsey, CEO, Options IT in a prepared statement. "We chose to expand to Interxion's Financial Hub facility, which has built up a critical mass of capital market participants, because it provides the type of environment that enhances the benefits delivered to firms leveraging our services."
"This agreement is further evidence of our growing reputation as one of the leading proximity hosting providers to the financial services industry and further reinforces the value of our City of London Financial Hub," said Anthony Foy, Group MD Interxion, in a statement.
