Ameritrade appointed Jerry Bartlett to the CIO post. He succeeds Asiff Hirji, who was promoted to COO in August. Previously, Bartlett served as Ameritrade's VP of application development and quality assurance.

Former CSFB managing director and CIO Frank Fanzilli was named to the board of directors of Sona Mobile, a provider of secure mobile technology for access to enterprise information and applications.

David Dibble, previously a managing director in JPMorgan Chase's technology group, joined electronic commerce and payments services provider First Data Corp. as CTO.

Thomas Kalaris, formerly a member of Barclays Capital Executive Committee and head of distribution and research, was named CEO of Barclays Wealth Management.
