Kase Lands at TradeTrek Securities
Deborah Kase, a sell-side expert in covering the buy side, joined Newark, N.J.-based broker-dealer TradeTrek Securities as managing director of institutional electronic execution services. In her new role, Kase's primary responsibility is to extend TradeTrek's pre- and post-trade analytical trading and algorithmic trading tools to the institutional community. "Equity trading is changing, and the market is looking for more- sophisticated analytical tools and a different level of algorithmic strategy that are not being provided by many firms," says Kase.
Previously, Kase was a managing director and a member of the management committee at BNY Brokerage. She first joined BNY in 1987 as a sales trader and later expanded her role into electronic trading. Most recently, Kase worked in BNY's DEx (Direct Execution Services) division. Prior to BNY, she worked at Morgan Stanley and Becker Paribas. Kase began her career at Soros Fund Management in 1979. --Ivy Schmerken
