JPMorgan WSS Makes Serenita CDO
Peter Serenita, a 25-year JPMorgan veteran, has been promoted to the newly created position of SVP and chief data officer for JPMorgan Worldwide Security Services. Having served in a variety of roles for the firm, Serenita most recently was head of global reference data services for the shared technology and operations group at JPMorgan. His promotion makes him the first JPMorgan executive to hold the CDO title.
"I think it says that data is treated as a key asset at JPMorgan," Serenita says of his new position. "It is a key portion of the business agenda as well. In order to service our clients, this is an absolute necessity." --C.L.
