Albridge Solutions Introduces The Albridge Advisor Report

Lawrenceville, N.J.-based Albridge Solutions introduced The Albridge Advisor Report as the initial offering from its Information Services division. The Albridge Advisor Report will provide advisers and institutions with metrics, benchmarks and analysis that help measure performance and competitiveness.

Delivered quarterly and electronically, the report features the Albridge Advisor Rating, which scores advisers on multiple metrics within a relative peer group in four categories (performance, activity, diversification and growth). The report will contain key metrics of advisers performing in the top five percentile for a Best-of-Breed Analysis that includes sales and performance. It offers detailed metrics relative to each subscriber by aggregating information from Albridge's collection of data to ensure the most up-to-date and accurate information available. An information and analysis benchmarking section provides critical adviser performance measurements over time, relative to the subscriber's peer group. Metrics also are provided for several categories including asset type allocation, sales, product company allocation and assets/clients-assets/accounts.

"Obtaining benchmarking metrics and research is difficult and time-consuming," said Rob Gregov, director, Information Services, in the press release. "Albridge collects the information most important to an adviser and delivers it in a detailed analysis that clearly demonstrates how that adviser is performing in a peer group relative to their own practice."

Odyssey Asset Management Systems Partners With RiskMetrics Group

Odyssey Asset Management Systems, a wealth management and private banking solutions provider, has partnered with RiskMetrics Group, a financial risk management firm. Odyssey will add RiskMetrics Group's risk management components to its Portfolio Manager Workstation, providing managers with risk analytics at various levels.

New Frontier Advisors Introduces Equity Optimizer

New Frontier Advisors (NFA), a Boston-based institutional research and investment advisory firm, introduced its full-featured equity portfolio optimize. The NFA Equity Optimizer incorporates the firm's patented Resampled Efficiency (RE) optimizer and portfolio rebalancing technology.

According to NFA, Resampled Efficiency is the first demonstrable improvement over traditional Mean-Variance (MV) optimization in nearly 50 years and the only provably effective portfolio optimization process. "Traditional MV optimization has no way of incorporating risk and return uncertainty into its recommendations," said Richard Michaud, president and chief executive officer of NFA, in the press release. "An optimizer that is appropriately sensitive to risk-return estimate uncertainty produces portfolios that are more consistent with investment intuition and provides a far more effective framework for asset management."

The NFA Equity portfolio optimizer and rebalancing software includes non-linear constraint technology and will be available at the end of the third quarter 2005.
