Advent Software Announces Upgrades to its Axys Portfolio Management Platform
Advent Software this week announced the release of Axys version 3.6, which expands reporting capabilities and improves support for operating systems and third-party technologies. Axys delivers performance measurement, fixed-income accounting, multicurrency accounting, electronic interfaces and reporting capabilities, according to Advent Software in a release.
Enhancements to the Axys 3.6 include new reporting capabilities, improved support for operating systems and third-party technologies, and portfolio close date functionality. "The enhancements in Axys 3.6 will help us tremendously with our internal reporting processes, particularly the improved interface with MS Excel, allowing us to save and retrieve reports more easily," said June George, director of operations at Knott Capital, an Exton, PA-based investment management firm participating in the Axys 3.6 beta process, in the release. "Advent's Technical Support organization was quick to understand our particular workflow as we worked with them in the beta process, and they were very thorough in helping us to improve our internal business processes," she continued.
Russell Investment Group Implements Charles River IMS
Russell Investment Group has implemented the Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS) in its Tacoma, Wash. headquarters and London office, according to Charles River Development, a provider of financial software and consulting services to the global investment management community.
Charles River IMS is a comprehensive front-to-middle-office software suite for portfolio management and modeling (Charles River Manager), order management and electronic trading (Charles River Trader), real-time compliance monitoring (Charles River Compliance), and centralized post-trade communications (Charles River Settlements) that streamlined the firm's multiasset class fund management operations.
"Charles River provides us with a highly qualified and proven global solution," said Steve Dowling, director of portfolio trading with Russell, in a release. "In particular, Charles River IMS provides us the scalability required for our unique and growing multimanager fund business."
Dowling continued: "The complexities of managing multiple security types across multiple investment styles require a reliable, robust and real-time compliance system. Charles River IMS allows us to easily conduct compliance checks at multiple levels within our trade and investment workflow."
