Interactive Data Now Offers Real-Time Data from Canada's Pure Trading

Interactive Data Corporation, a provider of financial market data, analytics and related services, said that its Real-Time Services business now offers real-time last sale and quote data, along with depth-of-market data, for securities traded on Canada’s Pure Trading. Pure Trading is a facility of CNSX Markets, a fully recognized stock exchange in Canada that also operates the Canadian National Stock Exchange. Pure Trading offers a competitive alternative auction market system aimed at attracting high frequency traders interested in securities listed on Canadian exchanges.

Pure Trading data is delivered to Interactive Data’s clients via PlusFeedSM, the company’s consolidated high-quality, low latency digital data feed. PlusFeed is designed to power algorithmic and electronic trading applications. In addition, Pure Trading data will be available to Interactive Data’s clients via eSignal, the flagship product of Interactive Data’s desktop solutions business that provides real-time, financial data and decision support tools to active traders and professionals worldwide.

“With an increasing number of clients seeking to obtain real-time data on a variety of companies in Canada, currently the world’s fourth largest trading market, we have responded by offering low latency delivery of Pure Trading data,” said Jay Kilberg, managing director, Interactive Data Real-Time Services, in a press release. “The availability of this data through PlusFeed can enable our clients to access critical Canadian capital market information,” he said.

“We are pleased that Interactive Data is providing its clients with real-time market data from Pure Trading to assist them with generating more comprehensive pricing information for securities,” said Ian Bandeen, CEO and vice-chair of CNSX Markets, in the release. “The ability to obtain this information from Pure Trading will continue to be important to market data providers as Pure Trading continues to attract more and more high frequency traders to the Canadian marketplace,” he said.

Interactive Data’s delivery of Pure Trading data complements the comprehensive real-time data it provides from some of the industry’s leading ECNs worldwide. Interactive Data currently offers real-time last sale and quote data for all U.S. securities from BATS Trading (BATS), operator of the third-largest U.S. equity market. In addition, the Company delivers data from the Turquoise multilateral trading facility, whose members include many large banks and brokers active in European trading, as well as specialist trading firms and institutions.
