SR Labs Launches Hosted Market Data Feed Handler

Teams up with Options IT to power the new market data offering aimed at high frequency trading environments.

SR Labs has launched a hosted version of its ultra-low latency, multi-asset class feed handler for major markets in North America, Europe and Asia geared to the ultra- low latency market data needs of high-frequency trading. The firm has teamed up with Options IT to provide the market data and technology infrastructure via its global Infrastructure –as-a-Service (IaaS) technology model. Options IT, a global provider of high performance technology infrastructure for hedge funds and brokerages, will use its IaaS technology to power the new offering within its Options PIPE platform.

SR Labs said the hosted feed-handler will provide high–frequency shops with a market data solution designed specifically to integrate market data into high-performance trading applications and optimized for models deployed in exchange collocation facilities.

“High frequency trading is increasingly being adopted by trading desks large and small, and the appetite for new and better technologies is at an all time high,” commented Srinivasan Ramiah, CEO of SR Labs in the release. “Our new hosted offering provides high-frequency traders a one-stop solution for a fully managed, ultra-low latency market data offering, thus giving our clients a competitive edge by reducing costs and accelerating entry to market,” Ramiah further stated in the release.

Nigel Kneafsey, CEO of Options IT, stated, “The new hosted solution is an example of the significant efficiencies provided by our Infrastructure-as-a Service technology management model across a broad spectrum of financial software providers.”
