Orc Software Offers Managed Service for Trading

Orc Hosted is a fully supposed trading infrastructure, that includes Orc Trader, Orc Spreader and Orc Liquidator, with connectivity options.

Orc Software is diving into the managed services area with the introduction of Orc Hosted, a fully managed trading service with connectivity to major cash and derivatives exchanges, MTFs and brokers.

This marks Orc’s entry into the managed services area, the company said in today’s release. Based on Orc Trading technology, Orc Hosted will be offered in parallel with Orc’s existing deployed software solutions.

Orc Hosted is a fully supported trading infrastructure built for speed and reliability, that reduces the requirements for internal technology support resources, which helps lower operational risks for clients. Orc’s service based approach can benefit firms with time to market, which clients may use for competitive advantage when entering new markets to extend their offerings.

“Orc Hosted enables clients to focus solely on their trading, by letting Orc manage their technology infrastructure,” stated Joacim Wiklander, chief strategy officer, Orc Software. “Using Orc as a managed services supplier, clients benefit from our economies of scale and have 24/7 access to our expertise, which enables them to utilize their own internal resources for supporting their core business – trading.” Orc Hosted services include applications such as Orc Trader, Orc Spreader and Orc Liquidator, together with a wide range of connectivity options for membership and non-membership markets. Firms wishing to outsource their entire Orc infrastructure can use Orc Hosted, as well as firms looking to augment their existing Orc deployment with new market access. Orc Hosted services are immediately available out of Stockholm and London. Plans are to expand the offering in EMEA, the Americas and APAC is planned for 2011.
