Deutsche Bank Exec To Head Elektron Transactions

In his new role at Elektron, the Deutsche Bank veteran will bring together applications, data and infrastructure to support integrated trading systems targeted at specific customer requirements.

Former Deutsche Bank executive Ralf Roth has been named global head of Thomson Reuters' Elektron Transactions and Strategy for the Enterprise Solutions business.

At Deutsche Bank, Roth was responsible for all aspects of product innovation and delivery for algorithmic and high frequency trading, analytics, execution and order management as well as low latency infrastructure and compliance. Previously he served as Chief Infrastructure Officer for Global Prime Finance at the bank, managing the infrastructure to support their leading prime brokerage franchise.

At Thomson Reuters, he will initially focus on advancing Elektron Trading Solutions, bringing together applications, data and infrastructure to support integrated trading systems targeted at specific customer requirements.

Roth, who will report to Jon Robson, president of Enterprise Solutions, said: "I am delighted to join Thomson Reuters at this exciting time. Enterprise Solutions has a strong performance track record, achieved through consistently delivering customer driven offerings. Elektron is strategically positioned to enable innovation for the industry and our customers - helping the industry to evolve and our customers achieve their goals. I am excited to be joining the team that makes this happen."

In other Thomson Reuters Enterprise news, the firm announced the launch of an expanded legal entity solution, that will be available via Thomson Reuters DataScope Select and Thomson Reuters DataScope Onsite.

The solution gives customers access to fully linked data that can be integrated into their workflow and help mitigate risk exposure, reduce regulatory burdens and manage their content requirements, Thomson Reuters said.
