Sanlam Prime Services Deploys Charles River

Sanlam Prime Services (SPS), a Johannesburg-based prime brokerage business and wholly owned subsidiary of Sanlam Capital Markets (SCM), is the first prime broker to implement the Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS) to streamline the front- to middle-office operations of hedge funds. Charles River Development is a provider of financial software and services to the global investment management community. SCM provides niche debt and equity financial engineering solutions to clients. It also exploits specific synergies with other businesses in the Sanlam Group, giving the Sanlam Group a substantial financial engineering capability. SCM is comprised of three business units: market activity, debt and equities. These business units are supported by risk management, finance & operations and corporate services. Charles River Development provides technology systems and services to over 300 investment firms in the institutional, mutual fund, banking, hedge fund, wealth management, insurance and pension industries.
