San Francisco-based Advent Software released Advent for Global Hedge Funds, a trading, partnership and fund accounting solution for large, complex funds. Advent for Global Hedge Funds integrates the company's Geneva accounting platform with its Moxy for order management and Advent Partner for partnership accounting solutions to provide instrument coverage, real-time P&L tracking, and strategy-level P&L and performance measurement. The solution also includes the vendor's Workflow Manager platform, which allows firms to manage data exchange between Geneva and other applications, Advent says.

"Our intentions were to provide a solution that addresses hedge funds' need to provide ... accurate and timely accounting and reporting to investors and management in the midst of more institutional involvement in hedge funds and help lower their overall costs," says Peter Hess, senior vice president and GM of global accounts, Advent.
