Goldman Exec Joins OptionsXpress

Pat Schuler, the former Goldman Sachs vice president and global head of regional enterprise technology, has joined online options brokerage optionsXpress Holdings as CTO. Based in Chicago, Schuler reports to optionsXpress CEO David Kalt and is responsible for all of the business' technology initiatives.

"My role is basically to assume day-to-day responsibility for all of the technology that we use -- not only for things that appear as tools on the Web, but the tools that we use in our options trading business as well," Schuler explains. Earlier in his career, Schuler also held technology management positions at Hull Trading and the Chicago Stock Exchange. --C.L.
