NSX Names Saro Jahani as SVP of IT
The National Stock Exchange (NSX) hired Saro Jahani as SVP of IT. According to Jahani, his most pressing challenge will be to deliver an architecture capable of dealing with today's growing volume demands.
"Just-in-time delivery of high-volume, low-latency exchange applications in an almost zero-tolerant financial atmosphere is the most challenging task for NSX as well as other market centers," Jahani tells WS&T in an E-mail. "Leveraging scalable and repurposeable technologies and networks is definitely an area in which we plan to experiment."
Jahani -- who most recently was global head of infrastructure, operations and facilities at Lehman Brothers subsidiary Townsend Analytics -- notes that his 20 years of experience in the industry will help him meet these challenges. "As an experienced ITIL [Information Technology Infrastructure Library] practitioner, I believe I can leverage ITIL to pragmatically improve and streamline our IT service delivery model," he writes.
