MetaBit Signs with NASDAQ OMX for FIX 4.4

MetaBit has joined with The NASDAQ OMX Group to provide a solution for FIX 4.4 to a NASDAQ OMX exchange system delivered in Japan. MetaBit will develop the FIX gateway based on FIX Version 4.4 using Orc CameronFIX, against the OMnet API. MetaBit will also provide support and maintenance for the FIX solution. "NASDAQ OMX is pleased to have MetaBit as an experienced partner for this FIX solution," said Markus Gerdien, executive vice president market technology at NASDAQ OMX, in a press release.

"Subcontracting this Japan focused FIX gateway for NASDAQ OMX represents an important strategic milestone for MetaBit," said Daniel Burgin, CEO, MetaBit, in the release. "We are pleased that NASDAQ OMX has selected MetaBit for its expertise in the FIX protocol and our specialist market know-how in Japan," he added. MetaBit is the provider of Market Liquidity Hub (MLH), an Asian broker portal that currently provides buy sides Direct Market Access (DMA) to 34 brokers and access to ten exchanges.
