Cuttone & Company Names Banc of America Securities Executive as New Director of Prime Brokerage and Electronic Trading Sales
Cuttone & Company, a full-service institutional broker offering a range of execution services and prime brokerage solutions, has named Bret Goldin as senior vice president and director of prime brokerage services and electronic trading sales, a newly created position at the firm. Mr. Goldin will oversee the growth of the firm's prime brokerage services and its global electronic execution solutions for equity and options.
Prior to joining the firm, Goldin served as principal head of sell side sales and product at Banc of America Securities' Electronic Trading Services Group. Earlier in his career, Goldin was part of the sales team at Reuters and also traded Nasdaq equities at Herzog, Heine and Geduld (Merrill Lynch). Goldin also will oversee the strategic growth of Cuttone & Company's broad set of electronic trading solutions, including the firm's industry leading direct market access platform offering low-latency, smart-routing and algorithmic trade executions to all U.S. equities and listed options markets, and 58 international equities markets.
"During the last year, we have seen a significant increase in demand for prime brokerage services as well as for advanced trading solutions offered by independent brokers," said Keith Bliss, senior vice president and director of sales and marketing at Cuttone & Company, in a press release. "Bret's decision to join our team marks the second strategic hire of a senior executive in the past few months as Cuttone & Company positions itself for significant operational and customer growth. Both Bret's experience and extensive knowledge of financial technology and trading will be a valuable asset as Cuttone & Company continues to map its growth going forward," he added.
