DSTi Teams With NYFIX to Provide FIX Connectivity

DST International (DSTi) teamed up with NYFIX to provide its investment management clients with FIX connectivity through DSTi's order-management system (OMS). NYFIX will supply its FIXBox Instant Integrator to provide FIX connectivity via HiOrders, DSTi's OMS. This provides access to the NYFIX Network, which offers access to over 200 brokers on the NYFIX network, and allows customers to quickly and easily implement the system, says DSTi. The network also provides access to alternative trading systems like Instinet, POSIT and Archipelago. Kim Holloway, Data's global sales director, states in the release that the NYFIX software is going to "easily facilitate order routing and execution reports," which will add significant value to the vendor's investment management offering . "Our clients will be able to increase their trade volumes, have greater access to additional points of liquidity using NYFIX and reduce their chance of trading errors that can be caused by phoned or faxed trades, while facilitating block and basket trading." Holloway also predicts that clients will save costs because they will no longer need in-house FIX expertise or FIX connectivity resources because all the integration work with FIX is provided.
