Echoworx Releases Platform for Web-Based Communication Encryption
Echoworx released its new platform, Encrypted Message eXchange (EMX). EMX is designed for organizations that want to enable communication with their customers and partners using a secure, private label Web-based environment, the vendor says. The new solution is fully hosted and enables branding by the client, Echoworx adds.
EMX users have the ability to create community groups that can send and receive encrypted messages using their own e-mailboxes and without fear of information leakage outside of the individual user groups, according to Echoworx. The company points to investment bankers, who can create user groups involved with individual deals or transactions, as target users for the technology.
"Organizations are looking for security solutions that enable them to share confidential information with groups outside their organization," said Chris Erickson, EVP of Toronto-based Echoworx, in a release. "EMX enables organizations to quickly and easily implement a simple solution across their user base, without investing in additional hardware or software."
