Rosenblatt Securities Hires Chief Market Strategist

Rosenblatt Securities has hired Brian Reynolds as chief market strategist, who brings credit market insights to equity investors, the institutional brokerage firm announced today.

Reynolds, a chartered financial analyst (CFA), whose daily market commentaries have become must-reads across Wall Street, according to Rosenblatt, specializes in applying credit-market analysis to equity investing.

His 16 years as a bond and money-market portfolio manager give him the experience and contacts to identify important signals from these complex, opaque markets and put them in the proper context for stock investors, states the release. Reynold's views on equities come from analyzing structural trends -- such as money flows between bonds and stocks and return thresholds for pensions and endowments -- rather than company fundamentals, notes Rosenblatt in its release.

Reynolds joined from WJB Capital Group, where he also served as chief market strategies. WJB shut its brokerage operations in New York in January. Prior to WJB, he spent 16 years as a SVP, economist, and portfolio manager at David L. Babson & Co., and several years as the fixed-income and economics consultant for TheStreet.com. Frank LoGalbo, who was the principal salesperson and marketer for Reynolds at WJB, also joins Rosenblatt along with Reynolds.

"Brian's unique approach to offering actionable credit-market insight to equity investors fits nicely with our firms' emphasis on deeply expert, practitioner-led analysis that doesn't flow the standard Wall Street formual," comments Joe Gawronski, president and COO of Rosenblatt Securities.
