CSFB Buy-Side Research

Credit Suisse First Boston is offering its equity research analysts' expertise to a few of its buy-side clients via Relegence Connect, a lateral relationship database developed by Relegence Corp. that covers more than 2,000 companies. The database combines the knowledge of CSFB's analysts and CSFB's proprietary mapping of company relationships and industry supply chains with Relegence's sourcing and filtering capabilities of more than 12,500 news sources (e.g., newswires, television, regulatory feeds, etc.) to help investors anticipate investment opportunities.

CSFB's buy-side clients can capture news related to a stock and other companies the news could affect. "This differentiates CSFB as a provider of advanced research," says Stefano Natella, CSFB's global head of equity research. "We are the only ones offering something like this."
